Resilience and Relationship: A Day of Building Connections in Community
May 12, 2017 @ 9:30 am - 3:30 pm UTC+0$27
A Day of Building Connections in Community
(Resilience Circles & LinkedIn)
We all know the value of deep and meaningful relationships in all realms of life, especially at times of transition. How we feel about our job goals, our progress as we take steps toward reaching our goals, even how we feel about ourselves as valuable workers, can depend on how we see ourselves in relation to others. Where do we find those deep and meaningful relationships to help us persist in difficult times?
Attend the Institute for Career Transition’s fifth special event, and engage in relationship-building that transforms thought into action, and fortifies us as engaged participants, both by giving and receiving. Using the Resilience Circle model developed by well-respected author, speaker (and veteran unemployed professional) Elizabeth White (http://55andfakingnormal.com), participants will have a chance to connect with others, work together in their own Resilience Circles, and use the model to sustain relationships beyond the day.
Another form of relationship-building that is critical to the job search relates to LinkedIn. In the second part of the day, participants will hear from Susan Joyce, online job search expert and editor/publisher of Job-Hunt.org (https://www.job-hunt.org) about the latest LinkedIn updates and their impact on the job search. We will learn together, become well-versed in the changes, and walk away with a deeper understanding of how these changes can be used to build even more connections to support us on our job search journeys.
Take this opportunity to foster resilience, build relationships and reconnect by attending this ICT event. We look forward to seeing you!
